Shri Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu

Shri Pashupatinath Temple is situated on the sacred banks of Bagmati River in the eastern part of Kathmandu Valley. Spanning 246 hectares, this magnificent complex houses 518 mini-temples and ashrams. The main pagoda-style sanctum boasts two-tiered golden roofs and intricately carved silver doors. Enshrined within is the sacred black stone four-faced Linga representing Lord Shiva's supreme aspects: Sadyojata (West), Vamadeva (North), Tatpurusha (East), Aghora (South), and Ishana (facing Zenith). It is one of the Paavan Char Dham across greater Bharatavarsha.

One of the most sacred and revered Hindu pilgrimage shrines across the world, located on the sacred banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu, Nepal. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Pashupati (Lord of all Beings) and enshrines a magnificent four-faced stone Mukhalinga (Sadyojata, Vamadeva, Tatpurusha, Aghora and Ishana facing upward). It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and regarded as the head of Kedarnath across the Himalayas.
